Detailed Introduction
• Definition: Fire-rated glass is a special type of glass that maintains its integrity and insulation properties during a specified fire resistance test.
• Classification: According to structure, it can be divided into composite fire-rated glass and single-pane fire-rated glass. Composite fire-rated glass is made of two or more layers of glass sandwiched between fire-resistant adhesive layers; single-pane fire-rated glass is made of a single layer of glass that has undergone special chemical treatment or physical processing. According to fire resistance performance, it can be divided into heat-insulating fire-rated glass (Class A) and non-heat-insulating fire-rated glass (Class C). Class A fire-rated glass maintains both integrity and insulation during a fire, while Class C fire-rated glass only maintains integrity.
• Characteristics: It has good fire-resistant properties, capable of preventing the spread of flames and heat transfer within a certain period; it also has the light transmission and transparency of ordinary glass, meeting lighting and visual requirements.
Fire Prevention Principle
1 Composite Fire-Rated Glass
• Heat Insulation Principle: When exposed to high temperatures, the intermediate fire-resistant adhesive layer will rapidly expand, forming a thick insulating layer to prevent heat transfer. At the same time, the flame retardants in the fire-resistant adhesive layer will decompose, absorbing heat and releasing incombustible gases to reduce oxygen concentration and suppress combustion.
• Maintaining Integrity Principle: There is good adhesion between the glass and the fire-resistant adhesive layer. In a fire, even if the glass breaks, the fire-resistant adhesive layer can hold the fragments together, maintaining the overall structure of the glass and preventing flames and smoke from passing through.
2 Single-Pane Fire-Rated Glass
• Heat Insulation Principle: Through special chemical treatment or physical processing of the glass, a high-heat-resistant coating is formed on the glass surface, or the internal structure of the glass is changed, so that it can effectively block heat conduction at high temperatures.
• Maintaining Integrity Principle: Special processing techniques improve the glass's high-temperature resistance and mechanical strength, making it less prone to breakage under high-temperature fire conditions, or even if it breaks, it can maintain a certain shape and structure, preventing flames and heat from passing through.
Applications
• Building Doors and Windows: Used in building fire doors and fire windows, ensuring both lighting and visibility for personnel evacuation while effectively preventing the spread of fire.
• Building Curtain Walls: As a main material for fire-rated curtain walls in some large public buildings and high-rise buildings, improving the overall fire safety performance of the building.
• Interior Partitions: Fire-rated partitions in places such as shopping malls, office buildings, and hotels, separating spaces and preventing fires from spreading rapidly between different areas.
• Fire Fighting Facilities: Glass in areas such as the front rooms of fire elevators and stairwells requires fire-resistant properties to ensure the safety of fire escape routes.
Other Products
Integrated Venetian blinds insulated glass units are a new type of energy-efficient window and door product with blinds installed inside the insulated glass unit.
Tempered glass is a type of glass that has undergone special processing, giving it high strength, high safety, and good thermal stability.
First, select high-quality glass. After cutting and cleaning, apply inorganic glaze to the surface using screen printing, spraying, or other methods.
In the rolling production process, metal wires or meshes are pressed into a semi-liquid glass ribbon, simultaneously embossing patterns on the glass surface.
It is made by laminating one or more layers of PVB (polyvinyl butyral) film, SGP (ion exchange resin), or other interlayers between two or more layers of glass under high temperature and pressure.
Composed of two or more layers of flat glass, sealed on all sides with high-strength sealant
